Ethics in Aviation

To me ethics and personal responsibility go hand in hand and is important in anything you do; however in Aviation, if you do not follow these moral standards, people can get hurt or even killed. I track aircraft maintenance. There are certain inspections that have to be completed in a required amount of time. These are typically set up by the aircraft manufacture. If inspections are missed, they must be reported to the proper authority. You can't overfly an inspection on an aircraft the way you can skip an oil change on a car, but I don't recommend that either. There isn't a side of the road for your aircraft to pull over to. Only certified technicians can work on aircraft and they are required to follow the proper requirements and take personal responsibility in everything you do when it comes to aircraft. Whether that is completing the maintenance or signing of the inspections in the logbook entry. It is important that in anything you do when it comes to Aviation, that you follow the rules and do not cut corners.
